Children's Non-Fiction  So You Want to Be President? So You Want to Be President is a Caldecott winner book appropriate for grades 2-5, ages 7-10. It is a book filled with factual information concerning each president (up until George W. Bush) with fun illustrations and comedic text young readers can relate with.  This book would be perfect to read during a history lesson to introduce the US presidents to students and help them to learn new facts in a fun way.  This is a perfect book to demonstrate Non-fiction without the usual, boring content that comes along with it.  Are you tired of learning about the same boring facts about our US Presidents? Are you tired of reading the same textbooks and answering the same questions about the men who each made such an impact on our country? What if I told you there was a book with fun, interesting, and entertaining facts and pictures about our presidents you could read and never become bored? Well, there is! So Yo...
Children's Traditional Literature  Author: E.B. White Illustrator: Garth Williams Charlotte's Webb is one of my favorite traditional children's literature books! One of the best parts about this story is, it is enjoyable for children and adults, too! It is about the story of a runt pig, Wilbur , who is born on a farm and is taken in and loved by the farmer's daughter, Fern.  When Wilbur grows into an adult pig, he is sold to Fern's uncle, Homer Zuckerman, where he is in danger of being slaughtered, that is until he befriends Charlotte .  Charlotte is a barn spider who develops a plan to help save Wilbur's life.  Will the plan work? Will Wilbur get to return to his owner, Fern? You'll have to read to find out! The best part about finishing this book is, if you love it as much as I do, you can watch the movie as well!
